It has become quite normal that most of the new moms are struggling for enough breast milk for their babies. But, there are enough home remedies through which you can feed enough to your baby.
- Be Hydrated Always
While feeding your baby, the chances are more that you may get dehydrated. During dehydration, it is tough for the milk glands to produce enough milk. So drink a lot of water along with having water rich fruits or foods.
- A Healthy Diet
Following a healthy diet is equally important for the moms to give enough breast milk for their babies. The mother must get enough calories, proteins and other nutrients in their food. So, it is important to include the leafy vegetables, pulses, nuts and seeds etc.
Since fenugreeks are rich in omega – 3 fats and vitamins, it is being used in all the generations as a great source of breast milk. You can have it as a drink or by adding in the foods. Even the fenugreek leaves are rich with enough Vitamin B, iron, beta carotenes and calcium.
Nursing mothers can feed their babies for a longer time, if they include garlic in their regular diet. To make it a part of your diet, grate a number of three to four garlic cloves and bring it boil in a cup of water and boil it till the quantity gets half. Later, add one cup of milk and boil it again. After letting it cool for some time in the room temperature, add one tea spoon of honey and have it on a daily basis.
- Cumin Seeds
Cumin seeds are rich in iron and are good in digestion. By mixing one teaspoon of cumin seeds with a tea spoon of sugar, the nursing moms can have it with one glass of warm milk on a daily basis.
Along with helping in increasing the breast milk, cinnamon gives a good flavor to the milk as well. By mixing a pinch of powdered cinnamon with a cup of warm milk and half a tea spoon of honey, the drink can be taken on a daily basis for the first two months.
