You may think of the quick action fast mosquito liquid when there are mosquitoes around, but can you do it when your little one is there? Forget all such chemicals and let them sleep in the mosquito net, which no way harms them.

But, whatever measures we take, we can’t throw all of them away. And the nasty red marks on the arms and legs of your little ones may take a couple of days to fade away. Besides, babies may feel it itchy and may develop swellings as well.

Home Remedies

  • Ice

Applying ice on the affected area can save your child from itching and further swelling. So, just by swatting the mosquito away from your baby, and immediately apply the ice.

  • Calamine

Calamine lotion is the best first solution that you can take help from for your babies to protect from mosquito bites or any other mild skin allergies.

  • Trimming the finger nails

Scratching on the mosquito bite area can turn it even reddish and may cause swelling as well. So, make sure that the sharp finger nails of your little hearts are trimmed down, so that they don’t make a mark over there.

  • Vinegar

Vinegar can be applied directly to the infected area of your baby. If there are multiple bites, it is good to add one to two tea spoons of vinegar in a bucket of warm water you are taking to bath your baby.

  • Onions

Onions are good to get rid of the mosquito bites. A slice of onion can be directly applied to the area and can be removed and wiped later.

  • Lemon Juice

Since lemon juice contains citric acid, it gives the same effect as vinegar.
