Know all about IVF

In Vitro fertilization (IVF) is the best treatment for women with damaged Fallopian tubes. In this IVF process eggs is removed from a woman’s ovaries and mixed with sperm in the laboratory culture dish (In Vitro). After two to three days, the fertilized embryos are transferred through the vagina to the uterus. At this place implantation occurs and pregnancy begins. In IVF, the fertilization happens outside the women’s body. Typically it will take four to seven weeks for one IVF cycle.

This IVF is generally recommended for:

  •      If the patient has been diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

  •      If the women Fallopian tubes are blocked.

  •      At the time, when other infertility techniques have not been successful.

  •      If the male partner has a minor problem with his sperm.

  •      If the couple has been trying to conceive for at least two years and a cause hasn’t been  found to explain, why there is no sign of pregnancy.
